DELETING FILES |
To delete a file, for example if you've copied pictures from a camera and then want to delete the pictures using the computer instead of deleting them using the camera, use one of the below methods. To find the file you want to delete go to Finding Information. |
DELETE ONE FILE |
One way is to right click on the file you want to delete. Then click on delete. |
DELETE SEVERAL FILES |
If you want to delete several of the files in a folder, click on one of them, hold down the Ctrl Key and keep clicking on the ones you want to delete until all the ones you want to delete are highlighted. Then right click on any of the files. Then click on delete. |
DELETE ALL FILES |
If you want to delete all the files in a folder, then first click on "EDIT" on the upper
left, then click "SELECT ALL." That will highlight all the
folders and files in that window. Then right click on any of the
files. Then click
on delete. This will not delete the folder. If you want to delete
the folder as well, it is easier then to click on the ![]() |
DELETE ALMOST ALL FILES |
If you want to delete almost all the files in a folder, then first click on "EDIT" on the upper left, then click "SELECT ALL." That will highlight all the folders and files in that window. Hold down the Ctrl key. Then click with your mouse on the ones you do not want deleted. You will see that they are no longer highlighted. Then right click on any of the highlighted files. Then click on delete. |
